PACKAGING DESIGN

The Great Cobra Scare of ‘53 is an Ozarks style wheat ale from Mother’s Brewing Company. Its name comes from the legend of escaped cobras that invaded the Queen City of the Ozarks in the summer of 1953. Details of the tall tale are shown throughout the packaging design from newspaper clips and headlines to illustrations of a heroic townsmen armed with a garden hoe, canned cobra meat, snake bikes and a map of the city. Every inch of the design represents a small element of the bigger story. We also created a limited edition bottle and six pack that glowed in the dark to scare off any unwelcome creatures.
